Our mission

Women in Medicine® (WIM) educates and empowers women in healthcare, alongside male allies, to drive meaningful change toward gender equity.

Through evidence-based research and the advancement of innovative strategies, we work to eliminate the gender gap and foster a healthcare environment where equity is at the forefront.


Our Vision

Our vision is to positively disrupt and transform the healthcare system and champion for change to create a world where women in medicine are empowered, supported, and equipped to thrive and lead.

We envision a connected community of healthcare professionals who actively collaborate to address and dismantle the barriers to gender equity in the medical field.

Since our inception, WIM has evolved from a small volunteer network of dedicated women into a nationally-recognized grassroots organization representing women in healthcare with a powerful collective voice.
